An opening prayer for our new Triennium
Beloved of God, called to be saints: grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. As we begin the new Triennium, I offer this prayer for our Grand Encampment, our Commanderies, Constituent and Subordinate and for all Sir Knights wherever dispersed.
Almighty God, Your Kingdom truly is forever. Before the mountains were brought forth or You formed the earth or the sea, You reigned supreme over all powers and will for all eternity. Even as we look forward to the day when You destroy every rule and authority and power and put all things in subjection under Christ's feet. We come before You in supplication, able to approach Your throne only because Your son our Lord gave us the gift of Your Spirit, making us not just subjects of Your Kingdom, but sons and daughters. In the name of Your Son, our Lord, we ask that you accept our worship and hear our supplications. May our praises honor and please You. Blessed are You our Father.
We pray that You would make Your ways known throughout the world, that the Gospel of Salvation full and free in Jesus Christ would flow unrivaled throughout Your creation. Continue we pray to increase Your Grace in us until we are perfectly united in the glory of Christ Jesus.
Lord show your loving kindness on our families, Your blessings residing on our homes. We pray for those who grieve over pain and loss, experiencing brokenness in their lives, that they would be strengthened by Your promise "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted."
Most merciful Father, thank you for your protection and blessings with which we are surrounded. Blessed are you our Father, who has given us our Lord Christ Jesus, surrounding us always with the comfort of thy Holy Spirit. - AMEN
The Love of the Lord Jesus draw you to himself, the power of the Lord Jesus strengthen you in His service; the joy of the Lord Jesus fill your hearts; and the blessing of Almighty God,, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit be among you and remain with you always.
Your in Christs Love
