A YEARLY MASONIC EVENT-Aug
For over a century, the York Rite Masons of Kansas have been making a yearly trek to the summit of Pikes Peak to have fraternal fellowship and to inspect a deposit that was made over 100 years ago. And more recently, that century old deposit was opened with great eagerness and ceremony. Everyone reflected upon the pristine condition of all the items that had been enclosed. A second deposit was subsequently made. The Kansas Masons have always invited all Colorado Masons to join them in this inspection. It shows unity to see presiding officers dressed in their respective organization regalia. This event will take place over the Labor Day week end in September. Should you desire to join the "pilgrimage" to the 14,000 plus summit, contact MEC Robert D. Elsloo, 970-522-3403 or rdelsloo@msn.com The picture shows Cryptic Masons gathered on the extended rock on the edge of the mountain clinging tightly to the railing that surrounds the deposit.
