SIR KNIGHT JAMES McCRORRY WILLSON, JR.
APPOINTED RIGHT EMINENT GRAND TREASURER, 2006-2009

Sir Knight James McCrorry Willson, Jr. was born on November 30, 1921, in Hale County, Texas. He attended Floydada High School in Floydada, Texas, and later Southern Methodist University.
He married Anne O'Berry Newman on January 6, 1946, in Floydada, and Sir Knight Willson has five children: three sons and two daughters. He is a retired retail building materials distributor.
Sir Knight Willson has been a member for 85 years of the First Methodist Church in Floydada, and taught Bible school for many years.
His civic activities include: past city councilman and Mayor of Floydada; a past district governor of Rotary International, twice; past deputy district governor of Lion International; past director, West Texas Chamber of Commerce; and past director, Texas Lumberman's Association.
Sir Knight Willson was Raised in Floydada Lodge No. 712, A.F. & A.M., Floydada, Texas, February 22, 1946, and served as Master in 1958, was District Deputy 96th Masonic District in 1959, and served as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Texas in 1982.
In the York Rite he received his Royal Arch Mason degree, May 21, 1947, Floydada Chapter No. 227, Floydada; served as their High Priest, 1961; as District Deputy Grand High Priest in 1963; and was Grand High Priest in 1978. He received his Royal and Select Master degrees in Floydada Council No. 163, Floydada, where he served as Thrice Illustrious Master in 1961; he served as Grand Master, General Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Texas, in 1987. Sir Knight Willson was Knighted in Plainview Commandery No. 53, Plainview, Texas, serving as Commander in 1962. He was the Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Texas in 1974.
Sir Knight Willson is presently the Finance Committee Chairman for all the York Rite bodies in Texas. He is a member of the Permanent Fund Trustees of the Grand Encampment, and he was appointed a Department Commander, South Central, 1985-1988, of the Grand Encampment by M.E. Grand Master Donald Hinslea Smith, August 1985.
He is a member of Crusader Tabernacle, HRAKTP. Sir Knight Willson is a 33º with memberships in the Valleys of Lubbock, Waco, Houston, and Dallas, Texas, A. & A.S.R, and is a member of Khiva Shrine Temple, Texas, AAONMS; Crusader Conclave, Amarillo, Texas, R.C.C., Past Sovereign, present Recorder; and was Intendant General for 30 years of the Division of Texas Western for the United Grand Imperial Council, Red Cross of Constantine.
He also has memberships in other Masonic organizations including: Royal Order of Scotland; Texas College, SRICF; Grotto, M.O.V.P.E.R.;National Sojourners; Knights York Cross of Honour; and Heroes of '76.
