SK Duane L. Vaught

    Duane Lee Vaught was born in 1956 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the first of three sons of Lloyd E Vaught and Maxine Vaught. He graduated from North Montgomery High School and from Indiana University, the latter with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting.
    He was baptized and confirmed as a member of the Methodist Church. In 2000 he married Georgia Jean Nagai Goode. Sir Knight Vaught has two brothers, both residing in Indiana. Georgia has a sister, living in Atlanta Georgia.
    Duane Vaught began his professional career with a national accounting firm in its Indianapolis office, during which time he passed the CPA exam and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. He subsequently moved to a local accounting firm in Bloomington Indiana. He advanced in that firm to the level of partner. In 1995 he joined the firm of Stampfli Associates CPAs as Vice-President. In 2008 he became President of that firm. Although he works with individuals and many kinds of businesses, not-for-profit entities are one of his primary specialties. He served as president of his chapter of Kiwanis, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, its Not-For-Profit practice section, Indiana State CPA Society and the Bloomington Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants, in which last organization he served several years as Vice-president for Professional Education.
    Duane Vaught began his Masonic career in 1971 when he was initiated into Montgomery Chapter of the Order of DeMolay. In DeMolay he served as Master Councilor of his Chapter, Illustrious Knight Commander of DeMolay Order of Knighthood in Indiana and two years as an appointed officer of the DeMolay State Council. He has received the DeMolay honors of Representative DeMolay, Chevalier, and Legion of Honor (Active)
    Sir Knight Vaught was initiated, passed and raised a Master Mason in 1977, in his hometown of Crawfordsville Indian. He served as Worshipful Master of Spencer Lodge no. 95 in 1993 during which year the lodge received the Grand Master┬┤s Award with Distinction. He has also served as Worshipful Master of Dwight L. Smith Lodge of Research.
    From May 2002 through May 2008 he served as an officer of the Grand Lodge F&AM of Indiana, the last year of that period as Most Worshipful Grand Master. He is also the Grand Representative of the Grand Lodge of New York near Indiana. In 2008 he was elected to a three year term as trustee. For five years he also served on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Masonic Home.
    Vaught received the degrees of Royal Arch Masonry, Cryptic Masonry and the Orders of Chivalric Masonry on October 22, 1977 in a festival, held in Muncie, in honor of then presiding Most Eminent Grand Master, Willard M. Avery. He Served as High Priest of Crawfordsville Chapter No. 40 and Illustrious Master of Montgomery Council No. 34 in 1983.
    Sir Knight Vaught served as Eminent Commander of Crawfordsville Commandery No. 25 in 1981 and 1982 and has received the Distinguished Service Award, Knight Commander of the Temple, and Knight Grand Cross of the Temple awards. He is Grand Representative of the Grand Commandery of Illinois near Indiana and also holds memberships in Bloomington Commandery No. 63 and St Anselm Commandery UD in Indiana. He also holds memberships in Commanderies in Ohio and Colorado. He holds honorary memberships in several other Grand Commanderies. He served ten years as an officer of the Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Indiana culminating in serving as the 140th Right Eminent Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Indiana in 2001 - 2002.
    Sir Knight Vaught is a Past Sovereign of St. Basil Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine. Past Governor of Banks of the Wabash York Rite College No. 72 and has received the Gold Honor Award and Order of the Purple Cross. He is a Past Excellent Chief of Indiana Council No. 15, Knight Masons and Past Director General of Indianapolis Preceptory, Yeomen of York. In the Allied Masonic Degrees he is a Past Sovereign Master of St. Bernard de Clairvaux Council 256. He is a Knight Commander of the Red Branch of Eri and served over ten years as Secretary of his council.
    Vaught is a Past Preceptor of St Andrew Tabernacle XXXV Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests and an officer of the Grand College. He is and officer of the Grand College of Rites. He is a member, IX degree, Knight Grand Cross of Indiana College, Masonic Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis, MSCRIF, and serves as Treasurer General of the High Council, MSRICF of the United States.
    He is a member of J. Herbert Nichols and Robert A. Woods Priories of KYCH, Terre Haute Valley, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite NMJ, Royal Order of Scotland, Murat Shrine AAONMS, Sahara Grotto MOVPER, Grand College of Rites, Order of Knights Preceptor, Indiana Past Commanders Association, Goose and Tater, and Royal Order of Zanzibar. In 2005 he was crowned a Sovereign Grand Inspector General, 33 Degree. He is a Grand Cross of the Royal Society of Knights Occidental and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel.
    Sir Knight Vaught was appointed Right Eminent Grand Captain General, Grand Encampment, and Knights Templar on August 29, 2007 by Sir Knight William Koon II, Grand Master and was elected to remain in the office of Grand Captain General of the Grand Encampment at the 64th Triennial Conclave, August 2009, in Roanoke Virginia. He was advanced to Right Eminent Grand Generalissimo on November 22, 2010 following the Death of Sid C. Doris III, elected Deputy Grand Master in Alexandria VA. in August 2012 and elected Grand Master of the Grand Encampment Knights Templar in August 2015 in Buffalo NY.

SK Jeffrey N. Nelson
R.E. Deputy Grand Master

    Sir Knight Jeffrey N. Nelson was born in Tioga, North Dakota, on November 25, 1957, to the late Dr. Norman M. and Patricia C. Nelson.  He is a graduate of Tioga High School, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Dakota with degrees in history and political science, and a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law.  He is a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  He is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of North Dakota, United States District Court for the District of North Dakota, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.  He is also a graduate of the Legislative Staff Management Institute, Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public affairs, University of Minnesota.  He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Section on Environment, Energy, and Resources; State Bar Association of North Dakota and the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law and Administrative and Government Lawyers Sections; and the Big Muddy Bar Association.  He is currently legal counsel and Assistant Code Revisor for the North Dakota Legislative Council.
    Sir Knight Nelson is a member, past master, and past chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bismarck Lodge No.5.  He is a past member of the DeMolay Advisory Council and past director of Masonic education for Lodge No.5.  He is also a member of Lewis and Clark (Bismarck) Lodge No. 132, Mandan Lodge No.8, and the International Peace Garden Lodge of Freemasons.  He has been active in local and statewide Masonic activities, including serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of the North Dakota Masonic Foundation from 1996-2001, serving as chairman in 1999-2000 and 2000-01, and a member of the Policy and General Purposes Committee from 2002 to 2007.  He is currently a member of the Masonic Education Committee, chairman of the Bylaws Committee, chairman of the Trial Commission, and the state co-coordinator of the Masonic Model Student Assistance Training Program.  He has also served the Grand Lodge of North Dakota as appointed Senior Grand Steward and Senior Grand Deacon.
    He is a past High Priest of Missouri Chapter No.1 and is currently the Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of North Dakota.  He has received the Order of High Priesthood and is a recipient of the General Grand Chapter Bronze Distinguished Service Award.  He is the Grand Representative of the Grand Chapter of Connecticut near North Dakota.
    He is a past Illustrious Master of Twin City Council No. 7 and a past Grand Master of the Grand Council of Cryptic Rite Masons of North Dakota.  He has received the Order of Thrice Illustrious Masters and is a recipient of the Cryptic Masons of the Year Award.  He is the Grand Representative of the Grand Council of Connecticut near North Dakota.  
    Sir Knight Nelson is a past Commander of Tancred Commandery No. 1 and a past Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of North Dakota.  He is a member and past secretary of the North Dakota Past Commander's Association.  He has received the Sovereign Order of Knights Preceptor and Knight Crusaders of the Cross.  He is a member of St. Bernard Commandery No. 41 stationed at Denver, Colorado, and is the Grand Representative of the Grand Commandery of Colorado near North Dakota.  He has been awarded the rank and dignity of Knight Commander of the Temple for service to Templary.
    Sir Knight Richard Burditt Baldwin, then Most Eminent Grand Master, appointed Sir Knight Nelson the Right Eminent Department Commander of the North Central Department at the 63rd Triennial Conclave in Houston, Texas, on August 16, 2006. He served in that capacity from 2006-2009. Sir Knight Nelson is a member of the Committee on Templar Jurisprudence and the Grand Master's Advisory Committee.  Sir Knight Nelson served as the Chairman for the 42nd Voluntary Campaign for the Knights Templar Eye Foundation and is serving as the Chairman for the 43rd Voluntary Campaign.
    He is also a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.  He is a past Venerable Master of the Valley of Bismarck-Mandan and an initial board member, past president, and current member of the Board of Directors of the Robert E. Asker Scottish Rite Speech Therapy Center for Children in Bismarck.  He was invested with the rank and decoration of the Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 2003 and coroneted a 33deg Inspector General Honorary in 2009.  He is a life member of the Scottish Rite Research Society.  He is a member of the Shrine and a past president of the El Zagal Dusters (antique car unit) and a past president of the Missouri Slope Shrine Club.
    Sir Knight Nelson is a member of the York Rite Sovereign College, charter member, past Governor, and current treasurer of Mandan College No. 191; Red Cross of Constantine, past Sovereign of St. Felix Conclave and currently Intendant General for North Dakota; Knights of the York Cross of Honour, past Prior of Walter Lincoln Stockwell Priory No.53 and KYGCH with 2 quadrants; Knight Masons, charter member and past Excellent Chief of North Dakota Council No.90; Allied Masonic Degrees, past Sovereign Master of Capital City Council No.226; Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests; Triple Tau; Royal Order of Scotland; Grand College of Rites; SRICF, charter member and Chief Adept of North Dakota College; and the Universal Craftsmen Council of Engineers.  He is a life member of the George Washington Masonic Memorial.  He holds honorary memberships in several Grand Commanderies and York Rite Grand Bodies.  He is a also a member of several Masonic research lodges and organizations.
    Sir Knight William H. Koon, Most Eminent Grand Master, appointed Sir Knight Nelson to the office of Grand Captain General of the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar on Monday, November 22, 2010, in Nashville, Tennessee.

SK Michael Burke Johnson
R.E. Grand Generalissimo

           Michael B. Johnson was born in Riverton, Wyoming on July 11, 1951, to Burke and Dona Johnson. He received his elementary educationfor fie years in a two room country school at Crowheart, Wyoming and graduated from Dubois High School in 1970. Mike and his wife, Judy, live on the family ranch in Crowheart where they continue to work in the livestock industry. Mike and Judy have two sons, three daughters, and five grandchildren.
           Mike was initited, passed, and raised in Dubois Lodge No. 53 in 1984, serving as Worshipful Master in 1991. He is currently serving as Junior Grand Warden in the Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. of Wyoming.
           In 1985 he joined the Fremont County York Rite bodies. He served as High Priest of Mt. Horeb Chapter No. 6 (cur-rently serving as treasurer), Illustrious Master of Lander Council No. 4, and Commander of Hugh de Payne Commandery No. 7. Other York Rite memberships include Holy Order of High Priesthood; Thrice Illustrious Masters of Wyoming; Emmanuel Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine; Knights of the York Cross of Honor; Equality York Rite College No. 92, receiving the Order of the Purple Cross in Houston, Texas; Agnus Dei Tabernacle No. XLIV, HRAKTP; Wyoming Chapter Order of Knights Preceptor; and St. Bernard Commandery No. 41 in Denver, Colorado. In 2007 he served as Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Wyoming. During the 65th triennium he served as Northwest Department Commander for Grand Encampment, and in August 2012 he was elected Grand Captain General.
    Mike is also a member of the Valley of Sheridan, Scottish Rite Bodies; Philalethes Society; 9th grade of Council Masonic Societas Rosicruciana in Cibitatibus Foederatis; Royal Society of Knights Occidental; Royal Order of Scotland; St. Thomas of Acon; Trinity Chapel No. 12, Grand College of Rites; and Allied Masonic Degrees in Wyoming. Elected R.E. Grand Captain General at the 65th Triennial Conclave in Alexandria, Virginia, August of 2012. Elected R.E. SK David Joseph Kussman

    Sir Knight David J. Kussman was born in Houston, Texas, on April 5, 1953, to the late Frederick J. Kussman Jr. and Hazel E. Kussman. He is a graduate of Loara High School in Anaheim, California. He attended Fullerton College and August Vollmer University pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. He received his teaching credential from the University of California in Los Angeles. He also attended Cottonwood Leadership College, School of Ministry in California. He is a member of Plaza Bible Church in Orange, California where he has served on the church council, as an Elder and is currently an associate Pastor.
    Sir Knight Kussman is a retired Police Sergeant from the Anaheim Police Department completing thirty-four years of service.
    Sir Knight Kussman was married to Lady Kimberly Ann Kussman (Schmidt) from 1988 until her passing in 2015. They have two daughters and a son. His first grandchild was born in 2015 and is expecting his second in 2016.
    Sir Knight Kussman is a member and Past Master of Anaheim Lodge No. 207. He is also a member of several Masonic Lodges of Research. He is a member and past presiding officer of the Orange County York Rite Bodies, and holds both active and honorary memberships in numerous York Rite bodies in the United States. He is a Past Prior of Sierra Pacific Priory No. 71. He is member and Past Venerable Master of Orange County Valley Scottish Rite Bodies.
    Sir Knight Kussman was knighted in Fullerton Commandery No.55 in 1983 and served twice as Commander and Treasurer. He joined the Golden West Commandery No. 43 Drill Team and became a life member. He was Captain of the Drill Team of Orange County Commandery No. 36 for seventeen years and honored with the distinction of Drill Captain Emeritus. He was a member of the Los Angeles Commandery No.9 Championship 65th Triennial Drill Team.
    Sir Knight Kussman was appointed Grand Warder of the Grand Commandery of California in 2002 and served as Grand Commander for 2010-2011. Additional he served as President of the Grand York Rite of California, Inc.

Right Eminent Grand Recorder

    Sir Knight Lawrence E. Tucker, newly elected Right Eminent Grand Recorder of the Grand Encampment, Knights Templar of the USA, was born April 2, 1956, on Ladd Air Force Base near Fairbanks, Territory of Alaska. His father, William Joseph Rye Tucker, was an active Mason, and his mother, Sue Ann Hensley Tucker, is a Majority Member of Bartlesville Assembly, Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
    Sir Knight Tucker graduated from South Houston High School in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Houston.
            Sir Knight Tucker is married to the former Judith (Judy) Ann Berg. Judy is a member and active participant in the Social Order of the Beauceant, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Order of the Amaranth, and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. They are members of First United Methodist Church of Houston, and he is a Past President of the Epworth Sunday School Class.
            In the Symbolic Blue Lodge, Sir Knight Tucker was initiated, passed, and Raised in Sagemont Masonic Lodge No. 1426, Ancient Free &Accepted Masons, where he served as Worshipful Master. He has plural memberships in Park Place Masonic Lodge No. 1172, Jacques DeMolay Masonic Lodge No. 1390, and St. Albans Masonic Lodge No. 1455. He is a Past President of the Masters, Wardens, and Secretaries Association of the Thirtieth Masonic Districts of Texas. He was Ordained a Knight Priest in Resurrection Tabernacle No. XXI, Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests, is currently serving as an officer in the advancing line, and is Grand Registrar of the Grand College of America, Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests.

            In the York Rite College, Sir Knight Tucker was initiated into Texas York Rite College No. 14 and is a Charter Member of Gulf Coast York Rite College No. 106, where he served as Governor. He was elevated to the Rank of Associate Regent (Order of the Purple Cross of York) and served as President of the Council of Associate Regents. Further service to the York Rite Sovereign College of North America includes: Grand Herald, York Rite Progress and Promotion Committee, and Committee on Auditing.
            Sir Knight Tucker is a Life Member of Texas Priory No. 23, Knights of the York Cross of Honour, and a Charter Life Member of Ridout Priory No. 75, where he served as Prior. He received the degrees of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in the Valley of Houston, Orient of Texas; is Past Venerable Master of Kadosh of Houston Consistory and currently is serving as an officer in the advancing line of San Jacinto Lodge of Perfection; was invested with the Rank and Decoration of Knight Commander of the Court of Honour and Coroneted a 33' Inspector General Honorary.
    Created a Noble in Arabia Temple, Oasis of Houston, Desert of Texas, Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and served as Chairman of the Committee on Masonic Relations-Blue Lodges and member of the Past Masters Association of Arabia Temple. He also was initiated a Prophet in Chinar Grotto, Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm, where he served as Treasurer.

    In the Masonic related youth orders he served on the Advisory Council of Bluebell Assembly, International Order of Rainbow for Girls, awarded the Grand Cross of Color, served as Promoter of Finance and Promoter of Fraternal Relations of Bethel Guardian Council of Bethel No. 2, International Order of Job's Daughters; initiated in Park Place Chapter No. 1424, Order of DeMolay, served as Chapter Advisor and is currently on the Advisory Council of Houston (formerly St. John) Chapter; he is a holder of the degree of Chevalier, served as Commander in the East of the Gulf Coast Court of Chevaliers, is a Recipient of the DeMolay Legion of Honor, served as Dean of the Houston Preceptory, and is currently State Secretary of the Texas State Preceptory, DeMolay Legion of Honor; plus he is a recipient of the DeMolay Cross of Honor, is Director of Masonic Relations for the Texas DeMolay Association, and is a Deputy Member, International Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay.
            Sir Knight Tucker was elected Right Eminent Grand Recorder of the Grand Encampment, Knights Templar, at the 65th Triennial Conclave in Alexandria, Virginia, August of 2012 and relected at the 66th Triennial Conclave in Buffalo, NY, August of 2015.

SIR KNIGHT BOBBY BLACKMAN SIMMONS, P.G.C. (GA)
Right Eminent Grand Treasurer

    Sir Knight Bobby Blackman Simmons is married to Nancy Simmons and has three children: Jeffery, Teresa, and David; and four grandchildren: J.P., Keilah, Roman, and Rob. He is a graduate of Unadilla High School and Non-Commissioned Officer Academy as well as the United States Air Force Associate Degree Program. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 until 1981 and in civil service until 2002. He attend Bonaire United Methodist Church where he has served on the Administrative Board, was chairman of the Stewardship Board, and was a lay leader. He was volunteer of the year for the Methodist Children Home in 2007.
    He was raised a Master Mason in 1967 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and transferred to Tyrian Lodge 111 in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he served as master in 1985. He was charter worshipful master of Middle Georgia Daylight Lodge 756 in Bonaire, Georgia, and secretary. He served as most worshipful grand master of Masons in Georgia in 2003 and is presently serving as grand treasurer.
    In the Scottish Rite, Sir Knight Simmons was coroneted a 33o Mason. He served as venerable master of the Lodge of Perfection and as president of the Scottish Rite Foundation of Georgia.
    Sir Knight Simmons served as grand commander of the Grand Commandery of Georgia in 1998 and is designated a Knight Commander of the Temple. He is a past prior of Georgia Priory 39 of the Knights of the York Cross of Honour and is serving as deputy grand master of Convent General.
    He is past presiding officer of the Knight Masons, Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests, Allied Masonic Degrees, the Red Cross of Constantine, the National Sojourners,
    and AI Sihah Shrine, where he is presently the treasurer and served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Shriners Hospitals for Children and an associate board
    member of Greensville Shriners Hospital for children.
    He is a recipient of the DeMolay Legion of Honor and the York Rite College Order of the Purple Cross. He is a past celebrant of the Masonic Rosicrucians, a member of
    the Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Order of the Eastern Star, as well as past president of Georgia Clan of the Royal Order of Scotland.
    Sir Knight Bobby Blackman Simmons was appointed Right Eminent Grand Treasurer by the Grand Master of the Grand Encampment Knights Templar on April 17, 2016 to fill the position vacated by the death of Sir Knight James McCorry Willson, Jr, GCT and Most Eminent Honoray Past Grand Master.
