Sir Knight Bob was educated in the Meriden school system and attended Wilcox Technical School where he concentrated in sheet metal and auto mechanics.
Bob joined the work force as a heat and air conditioning installer before deciding to become a mason tender, where upon he became a master mason specializing in plaster and ceramic tile. His building talents led him to home and commercial building construction when he went into business in 1969. He continues to operate his own business.
He married Joan Baron in 1970. They were blessed with three children - Anthony, Maria, and their late son John..
Robert was raised a Master Mason May 1, 1995 in Meridian Lodge No. 77 and was Worshipful Master 2000.
He was made a Royal Master October 5, 1996 in Keystone Chapter No. 27 and Most Excellent High Priest 2001 and 2002.
He became a Super Excellent Master October 19, 1996 in Hamilton Council No. 22 and was Thrice Illustrious Master 1998, 1999, 2004 and 2005.
Knighted November 9, 1996 in St. Elmo Commandery No. 9 and served as Commander 2000 and 2001. He affiliated as a duel member with New Haven Commandery where he was Commander 2003, Stamford-Clinton Commandery No. 3 and Commander 2004, 2005 and a Sir Knight of Crusader Commandery No. 9.
He is the second Vice President of the Meriden Building Foundation and a past president of the Meriden Fellow Club 1999, 2000.
A member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Right Mason valley of New Haven, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Consistory valley of Bridgeport, he is serving as Sovereign Prince Valley of New Haven.
Thrice Illustrious Master of the Anointed Kings, a member of KYCH, Knights Crusaders of the Cross, York Rite College, Anointed High Priests, Mohawk Council #38, Garibaldi Club. In addition, he is a member of the Order of the Amaranth Westwood Court #15.
Bob¢s civic participation included serving on the Wallingford Town Hall Building Committee; president of Wallingford Youth Soccer League; coach of boys and girls soccer teams in the youth league and sponsored a Little League baseball team of which he was the assistant coach.
