Sir Knight Bradford Fitch Burnett, KCT
Right Eminent Grand Commander
A.D. 2011-2012; A.O. 893-894
"Crusaders for Christ

Sir Knight Bradford Fitch Burnett was born in Richmond, VA, on June 26, 1947. At 5 mos. of age, his paternal grandparents received custody and raised him on a small farm in Hanover County, just north of Richmond. He was educated in the public school system there and later attended the University of Richmond, VCU, and J. Sargeant Reynolds C.C. He served honorably in the U. S. Navy as a Data Systems Technician and later pursued a career in computer systems. He took early retirement from the Richmond Times-Dispatch Engineering Department to start Burnstone Computers, which he runs at present.

    S. K. Brad was raised in Joppa Lodge No. 40, AF & AM, in Richmond in 1975, where he served as Worshipful Master in 1981. He also served as WM of Meridian Lodge No. 284 in 1990, 2007, and 2009 and is currently a Trustee. He is affiliated with Richmond Randolph No. 19 and holds active membership in all three Lodges. In his "spare" time, he instructs candidates in the several catechisms. Brad served as DDGM of Masonic District 15-A in 2004 and has been a member of the Grand Lodge IT Committee for over ten years.

In the Masonic family, he is a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Past Venerable Master of the Richmond Valley, serving 10 years as Secy/Treas. of the Honour Court. Brad was exalted in Lafayette RAC No. 43, now Washington RAC No. 9, in 1978 and is a Past High Priest of that Chapter, frequently filling in various chair positions. He is also a member of ACCA Shrine and a Past President of the Past Masters Club and a member of the Legion of Honor. He also is a member of Samis Grotto in Richmond. Brad holds membership or office in many of the other Invitational York Rite Bodies and is a KYCH.

In Templar Masonry, Brad served as Eminent Commander of Richmond Commandery No. 2 in 1998-99. He is currently District Instructor for District 1. He served on the Grand Encampment Triennial Committee for 2009. He also founded the Blue Lodge Installation Team for his Commandery with four Installing Officers, team members, and Color Guard to perform Lodge Installations (Open or Tiled) from memory for area Blue Lodges.

In his community, Brad is a member of Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church, a former Deacon, and serves on various committees. He is a Commissioned Volunteer with Bon Secours Hospice and has earned his ten-year Ruby Award. Previously he served six years with Meals on Wheels.

Most importantly, Brad is married to the former Jean Scott Wood of Fork Union, VA. They have four "children", two canines and two felines. Jean is well-known in KT circles as "The Heir to the Vast Burnett Fortune". There is even speculation that she loves the Commandery as much as her Grand Commander husband. At any rate, Jean is indeed a very warm and approachable Lady. Your REGC loves her very much.
