Kenneth Culver Johnson

Kenneth Culver Johnson was born September 7, 1912, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University, holding a Bachelors Degree in engineering, and a member of Tau Beta Pi, National Honorary Engineering Fraternity. Follow­ ing college "he was associated with Arkansas Power & Light Company as a Sales Engineer.
In World War II, Sir Knight Johnson was called in as a Reserve Officer and is now retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve Corps of Engineers. After release from active duty he joined Southern States Equipment Corporation as National Sales Manager. In 1947 he joined Dyke Industries, Inc., a Management Engineering firm, and was, at the time of his retirement, Executive Vice President. A Registered Professional Engineer, Johnson is a Past Chairman of Arkansas Section, I.E.E.E. and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
In addition to his career, Sir Knight Johnson has been active in civic, community and religious areas. He is a Past President of the Sales and Marketing Executives Association, and has served as Board Member and Vice President of Quapaw Council, Boy Scouts of America, from which he received the Silver Beaver Award.
He has also served as President and National Trustee of Arkansas Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution; as Chairman of the Official Board and Sunday School Teacher at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church; Past President and Chairman of National Sash & Door Jobbers Association; and as a Board Membe r , Nat ional Association of Wholesaler Distributors.
His Masonic record is equally impressive: He is a member of the York Rite Bodies of Pine Bluff, and was Grand Commander of Arkansas Templars in 1960. He is an honorary 33° in the Scottish Rite, S.J., Valley of Little Rock; Past Preceptor, Holy Grail Tabernacle No. XI, H.R.A.K.T.P.; Legion of Honor, hrternational Order of DeMolay; Past Potentate, Sahara Shrine Temple, A.A .O .N.M. S.; longtime. Chairman, Committee on Shriners' Hospitals for Crippled Children; Past President, Pine Bluff Arsenal Chapter.No. 166, National Sojourners; Past Commander, John R. Fordyce Camp, Heroes of '76; Past Sovereign Master, Gilchrist Council No. 26, Allied Masonic Degrees; Past Director, Court No. 38, Royal Order of Jesters; and member, Philalethes Society, Knight Masons, Chevalier Bienfaisant de la Cite Sainte , Great Priory of America, M.O.V.P.E.R., Royal Order of Scotland, Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis, and others.
Concurrent with his office of Grand Master, Sir Knight Johnson is also serving as Grand Sovereign of the United Grand Im perial Council, Red Cross of Constantine.
His family includes three sons and six grandchildren ..
